Platte River Trails (PRT) is gearing up for the 33rd annual Riverfest on August 9th, crafting a great summer lineup of regional brews, local food trucks, and live music performances. Returning to the roots of the original river gathering, Platte River Trails has placed a greater emphasis on the brewfest component this year, ensuring Riverfest provides the true brewfest feeling that Casper residents know and love. Riverfest, taking place on August 9th from 1-6 pm, serves as PRT’s biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting trail maintenance and expansion in and around Casper. So, what can you expect this year? Beer is Better on the River
Set on the banks of the North Platte River with a picturesque backdrop of Casper Mountain, Riverfest proves that beer is better on the river. Spend a summer afternoon tasting a variety of beers provided by local and regional breweries, including Ten Sleep, Mountain Hops, Melvin, Roadhouse, Upslope, Odell, Lander Brewing, Roosters, and many more! If there’s one thing PRT understands about Casper, it’s that this community knows good beer, and they’re bringing it directly to you during Riverfest, so get your $30 presale ticket now and support the trails while enjoying a cold one (or two). Beyond the Beer You don’t have to drink beer to enjoy the afternoon with PRT and friends. Beyond the brewfest, Riverfest is a fun, family-friendly experience, featuring live music, food trucks, summer yard games, and more. This year, PRT is excited to announce that Riverfest will host the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, where local Casper kiddos can show off their creations. In addition, Riverfest promises an afternoon of live music performances by Auburn Green and Pathfinder, along with munchies provided by Curly Wolf Den Shaved Ice, Dog House, I Scream 4 Wings & Ice Cream, Quesadilla King, WY Knot Pretzels, and Wyo Philly Wagon. The Fast Facts If you attend Riverfest, you can enjoy the games, live music, market, and more for free. However, if you want to enjoy the unlimited craft beer, you'll need to purchase a ticket. Tickets include a souvenir tasting cup (new and improved this year!) and endless sampling from some of the best brews in the region. Make sure you bring ID. No ID, no ticket! Plus, purchase your brewfest ticket before the event and save $5 off the door price or present a Duck Derby raffle ticket (purchased in your name) and receive $5 off your brewfest ticket at the door. Presented by Fremont Casper, Riverfest is August 9th from 1-6 pm at Crossroads Adventure Park. Come for the beer, stay for the music, food, and fun.
