With Riverfest just days away, we’re here to tell you why beer is better on the river. It’s not just the camaraderie of community under the summer sun, it’s also the unlimited samplings of ice-cold beer all in the name of trail support. That’s what makes Riverfest Casper’s best brewfest. Together with our sponsors and supporters, Platte River Trails is excited to once again bring the community together to enjoy craft beer, live music and family-friendly activities at the 32nd annual Riverfest on August 10th. So just what can you expect at this year’s event? Beer
Come to support the trails, stay to drink beer – unlimited samplings of beer! What makes Riverfest Casper’s best brewfest? We can thank the local and regional craft breweries who show up to pour cold ones over and over for thirsty trail supporters, and the generous distributors – Connect Beverage, Teton Distributors and Quality Brands - who bring in dozens more of your favorite craft beer brands. This year, we are thrilled to welcome Melvin Brewing, Roadhouse Brewing Company, Wind River Brewing, Prost Brewing and brands like Odell, Great Divide, Tensleep Brewing, Bootstrap, Upslope, New Belgium, and Snake River Brewing. Don’t like beer? We’ll also have Beast Unleashed, Arizona Hard Tea, Beatbox Party Punch and other selections on hand. Although Riverfest is a free event, to drink the beer you must purchase a beerfest ticket! Hurry and purchase your ticket online ahead of the event and save $5! Must be 21 to purchase and no I.D. means no beer. Live Music Riverfest is serving up something fresh this year with live music performances that truly fit the vibe of drinking beer riverside on a hot summer day. "Different than the same thing they keep serving you," Auburn Green is sure to kick off Riverfest right with a little bit of reggae and little bit of rock. Then, we’ll welcome headliner, Zack Scott, a one-man-band whose music styles range from Country Western, to rock, blues, and more. You won’t want to miss it! Food & Vendors Not here for the beer? Come for the food! Enjoy a variety of food trucks to satisfy everyone’s pallet, including Gringo, WY Knot Pretzels, I Scream for Wings & Ice Cream, Eat All Day, Curly Wolf Den Shaved Ice, Papa’s Pork Chop, and Sergeant Poppers Kettle Corn. Plus, you can snag a brewfest t-shirt, create art on a bike, or check out some cool wheels from our presenting sponsor Fremont Motors The Great Duck Derby Of course, we know a major Riverfest attraction is the chance to win big at the Rotary Club of Casper’s Great Duck Derby. Grab a cold one and watch your duck make its way down the North Platte River for your chance to win a number of cash prizes. Purchase tickets ahead of time or during Riverfest; just make sure you do so before the ducks drop at 3:30 p.m. Drawing is held at 5 p.m. Family Fun Activities As always, Riverfest is free and open to the entire community (no one should be left out of one of summer’s best events). In addition to the music, food, and vendors, enjoy family fun activities including inflatables, cornhole, face painting by Mary Ann Budenske, and the Crossroads Adventure Park. Are you ready for it? We’ll see you at Riverfest on August 10th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Crossroads Adventure Park. We can't wait to drink beer, eat food, listen to live music, and enjoy an afternoon on the river with you, our fun-loving community! Get your beer tickets now (and save $5) at casperriverfest.com.
