Paving the Way for All: What's Your Reason to Give?

Platte River Trails has kicked off the 2024 Annual Giving Campaign, a time when the nonprofit organization asks businesses, foundations, agencies, and individuals to help lay the groundwork for advancing trails in our community through monetary donations. By donating to Platte River Trails during the Annual Giving Campaign, you can help continue to grow the network of trails, while leaving your legacy in Casper.
Your donation quite literally leaves a lasting footprint in the heart of Wyoming by providing a piece of trail. More specifically, your contribution of even just $100 allows Platte River Trails to lay another foot of 10’ wide pathway. And every foot of trail advances our goal to keep pathways expanding both westward past Robertson Road, and eastward into and beyond Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park.
"We are thrilled to say that Phase I of the PV to Robertson Road bridge project is now complete thanks to support from community donors like you! As these advancements continue, your donations keep Platte River Trails’ current network of trails maintained, accessible, and connected to our community,” says PRT Executive Director, Rachel Spear.

Beyond trail expansion, financial contributions allow Platte River Trails to maintain the current trail network, preserve our natural spaces, and offer invaluable benefits to residents and visitors alike. Which begs the question: What will be your reason for giving?

Give for your dog.
As one of our largest trail user demographics, our four-legged companions deserve fun, natural, and dog-friendly spaces to unleash and get exercise. When you give to the trails, you support your dog’s health and enrichment by introducing them to new outdoor places, spaces, sights, and smells.

Give for your health.
Pathways provide an easy, convenient, and no-cost opportunity to get exercise in fresh air, which not only improves cardiovascular health, but overall mental wellbeing. By donating to support trail expansion in Casper, you help people of all ages incorporate outdoor exercise into their lives.

Give for the environment.
When you give to the Platte River Trails, whether you utilize the pathways or not, you’re supporting our work to preserve our natural, outdoor spaces including local flora, fauna, and the North Platte River, ensuring the natural landscape is protected yet accessible.

Give for your community.
When you invest in the trails, you invest in our community’s economic prosperity and overall quality of life, making Casper and surrounding communities more desirable and reachable. Your donations help advance safe, non-motorized transportation for ALL community members, and visitors, too.

Inch by inch, we can create trails that connect our community to our valuable outdoor spaces and key destinations. Together, your contributions add up to miles upon miles of trails for all. Please consider making a tax-deductible, year-end gift to the Platte River Trails Trust so we can continue paving the way for all.
