Looking for an easy way to send feedback about trail conditions? The Platte River Trails (PRTT) network offers safe and separate pathways and facilities that make non-motorized transportation accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Accomplishing this task takes close and constant monitoring of all trail conditions. With 20+ miles of pathway that make up our trail system, you might notice surfaces, vegetation, or amenities that need attention. Now, with an easy Trail Assessment Tool, you can notify Platte River Trails and the City of Casper of these areas so we can address the conditions as quickly as possible. Our trails see tens of thousands of uses throughout the year. Constant use, paired with harsh and windy Wyoming weather conditions, means trails get altered or damaged from time to time, impacting overall travel conditions. The Trail Assessment Tool helps resource managers identify surface type, amenities (such as life jacket stations, trash cans, benches, bike repair stations, etc.), vegetation, and other areas needing attention along our community trail system.
As a trail user, you play an important role in helping PRTT and our partners maintain our community trail system. Our new Trail Assessment Tool makes it easier than ever to report an issue or area of the trail that needs addressed. Now, you can quickly and easily submit a report notifying us of trail conditions in real time using your mobile phone. Here’s how it works:
It’s that easy! This Trail Assessment Tool allows trail users to easily notify us when anything along the trails is wrong, damaged, or missing. From dog baggie stations, to signs, cracks in the trail, or overgrown vegetation, we want to know about it so we can keep our trails safe and enjoyable throughout the year. Next time you’re out for a ride, walk, or run, remember to report any damaged or inaccessible area so we can keep our trails beautiful. Plus, follow us on Facebook and Instagram for important updates.
