This year’s Riverfest, presented by Peterbilt of Wyoming, marks 30 years of enjoying Casper’s yummy food, delicious beer, and so much more in the name of trail building. With just over a month to go, we can’t help but spill the beans on some exciting things to come at our biggest fundraiser of the year! Check out five can’t-miss activities at this year’s Riverfest!
  1. First Annual Microbrew Competition New to this year’s Riverfest is a microbrew competition! Whether you are participating in the competition, or you want to try some home brews, you simply can’t miss this exciting addition to Riverfest! With 1st and 2nd place winners nominated in lager, brown, IPA, sour, and people’s choice categories, it’s sure to be an exciting addition to the afternoon.
  2. Mastermind of Monkey and Jeff Stanley What would Riverfest be without live music? Grab a beer, pull up a chair, and listen to live music performed by Mastermind of Monkey and Jeff Stanley! These local musicians put on a great, lively show that will keep you entertained all afternoon long.
  3. The Great Duck Derby Of course, you can’t miss the Rotary Club of Casper’s Great Duck Derby during Riverfest! Buy a duck and compete for prizes, including cash and trips, while you watch the ducks float down the North Platte River. You can buy your tickets now at our office or the Rotary Club website. Ducks drop at 3:30!
  4. Unlimited craft beer tasting Come for the fun, stay for the beer. At Riverfest, you already know you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited craft beer tastings from several regional and local breweries such as Mountain Hops Brewhouse and many more. Nothing quite like a fresh, cold beer (in a commemorative cup) on a hot summer day! Remember to bring your ID (no ID, no beer) and look for tickets going on sale August 1st.
  5. Food truck grub To tie it all together, we’ve got some of Casper’s yummiest food trucks feeding Riverfest attendees for the day! Catch mouth watering treats and eats from Papa Lombardi’s, Kuver’s Texas BBQ, The Dog House, I’Scream, 307 Street Tacos, and Taco Time. With options for the whole family, no one is going hungry at Riverfest!

Are you excited for this year’s Riverfest yet?! As always, when you come to Riverfest, you’re supporting our mission to bring trails to you. We couldn’t do it without the support of our community, vendors, and partners. Beer ticket sales are coming soon to our website and be sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest Riverfest updates!

You guys should consider a home brew competition as well. There are literally hundreds of home brewers in Casper and the surrounding area. Having them, their friends and family come out would greatly increase the popularity of the event!
