Platte River Trails is committed to connecting community to trails and we’re kicking off 2024 with our Annual Meeting on February 21st! We are excited to share our 2023 accomplishments and goals for the year while presenting a guest speaker to talk non-motorized pathways. At this year’s Annual Meeting, hosted at the Tate Pumphouse, guests will enjoy lunch, trail comradery, and celebration of the work we completed the year prior and our plans ahead. During this luncheon, you can expect to learn more about the importance of the trails and how we are connecting them to the community through expansion and maintenance. We are also thrilled to welcome our guest speaker, Mike Kusiek, Executive Director of Wyoming Pathways.
As Executive Director for Wyoming Pathways, Mike helps further their mission to inspire, motivate and unite a strong community of public, business, and political leaders to improve active transportation and people-powered recreation opportunities in Wyoming, including biking of all forms, walking, hiking, and cross-country skiing. Mike has over 20 years of experience in project management for health care, education, conservation, and public lands concerns. He is also currently the Chair of the Lander Community Foundation and is a past member of the Lander City Council. Similar to Platte River Trails, Wyoming Pathways works to connect people to pathways and trails throughout the state. We're intrigued to hear what Mike has to say and how it will impact Platte River Trails and our own mission to expand trails for non-motorized transportation within our community. During the Annual Meeting we'll also dive into more on the progress of projects that have been in the works, how your support makes a difference in expanding trails, and enjoy a word or two from some of our incredible board members. As always, this luncheon is our annual opportunity to discuss with our community and stakeholders just how we are connecting the community through trails and expanding our network. You’re invited (and encouraged!) to join us, our board members, Mike, and fellow trail supporters at our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, February 21st at 11:30 a.m. at the Tate Pumphouse. A $25 registration is required, which includes lunch, so don’t delay and reserve your seat now.
