From installing twelve works of art for the first Art for the Trails exhibit, to completing design and permitting for our newest section of trail from Morad Park to the Mountain View shopping center and receiving a $500,000 grant from the WYDOT TAP program for the Paradise Valley to Robertson Road Bridge, it was an unforgettable year for the Platte River Trails and active transportation in our community. 2020 also featured an exponential increase in usage of the Platte River Trails, demonstrating how important this resource is in our community. We are dedicated to connecting people to places, and the growth of trail use was rewarding for our organization to see. At this year’s Annual Meeting, we will not only provide updates on our previous year, but also highlight our generous donors and supporters that make it all possible. As a non-profit organization, PRTT relies on donations, grants, and public funds to achieve our mission and are focused on stewarding those funds in the best way possible. We will also provide a first look into our plans for the future of the Platte River Trails. Our board of volunteers has a vision for connection and is dedicated to implementing projects in 2021 to benefit everyone in our community. Mark your calendars for this year’s Annual Meeting and be sure to register for the 12 PM Zoom Webinar in advance at platterivertrails.com. We’re excited to share all about the past year’s accomplishments as well as what is in the future for the Platte River Trails.
