The countdown to Riverfest is on! With five days to go, Platte River Trails is excited to share this year’s event details and fun, new surprises. Riverfest is Platte River Trails’ biggest fundraiser of the year and the community’s support for this beloved event does not go unnoticed. Each year, together with sponsors and supporters, Platte River Trails hopes to bring the community together to sip on cold craft beer and enjoy live music and activities, all while supporting the trails.

Here's what to expect at this year’s Riverfest:

Family Fun Activities
Riverfest is free and open for the entire community to enjoy with family fun activities organized each year. Grab the family and head down to Riverfest to enjoy inflatables, cornhole, face painting by Mary Ann Budenske, and Crossroads Adventure Park. NEW this year: Riverfest is hosting Habitat for Humanity for a playhouse build on-site that you could win for your little ones. Purchase a raffle ticket for $25 and Habitat for Humanity will draw the winner during Riverfest.

Food and Vendors
As always, Riverfest hosts several local vendors and food trucks to visit throughout the afternoon. This year, you can expect to find these eats and treats: I'Scream for Wings, Wyld Ice, Northern Ice, Gringo's, Papa Lombardi's, and the Blue Ridge Coffee Double Decker Bus. Plus, enjoy and visit vendor booths from Gastroenterology Associates, Caliber Collision, K&M Pet Products, Made with Ingenuity, PM Wood Works, and Murie Audubon.

Live Music
Of course, it wouldn’t be Riverfest without the live music because nothing says summertime like sipping a cold beer and enjoying live music along the river! Platte River Trails is excited to welcome back Mastermind of Monkey and Jeff Stanley to the Riverfest stage! Last year they put on quite the performance and we can't wait to see what they bring this year.

The Great Duck Derby
Each year, guests can also participate in the Rotary Club of Casper’s Great Duck Derby during Riverfest. Purchase a duck and wish it luck as it floats down the North Platte River in a derby against other ducks for great prizes! Purchase tickets ahead of time or during Riverfest before the ducks drop at 3:30 p.m. with the drawing at 5 p.m.

BEER
Riverfest is the destination on a hot August day for Casper’s beer lovers. To quench your thirst, Platte River Trails relies on local and regional breweries to help make it all happen. With nearly 20 local and regional breweries participating including Ten Sleep, New Belgium, Roadhouse and more, you will sure get your fill on their unlimited sips of craft beer. Although Riverfest is a free event, to drink the beer you must purchase a beer ticket! Must be 21 to purchase and no I.D. means no beer. Tickets also include the 2023 commemorative Riverfest cups, so purchase your ticket today!

Merch
NEW this year to Riverfest: merch! Platte River Trails is excited to present and offer the first ever Riverfest t-shirts and stickers with a fun, new design available for purchase. These items can only be purchased at Riverfest, so be sure to get yours when you walk through the gates. As with all ticket proceeds, your purchase of a t-shirt helps support Platte River Trails and our community trail system.

Riverfest is the event of the summer and you won’t want to miss out! Join us on August 19th from noon to 5 p.m. at Crossroads Adventure Park. When you show up for Riverfest, you show up for the trails. Purchase beer tasting tickets and stay up to date on all event details at casperriverfest.com. Your support helps the Platte River Trails continue to expand and maintain our valuable community trails and we can’t wait to see you there!

I perform strolling magic and balloons at festivals and would like to be considered for Riverfest this year. You can view a video of my work at YouTube Jamel the Magician. Thanks, have a great day and God bless.
